Diacore hosted the international Joburg Ballet in Gaborone. “It’s a great pleasure to host the Joburg Ballet and bring this magnificent art form to Gaborone.” Said Nir Livnat of Diacore
In the wake of what was an action filled final week of March huge excitement was created around the world class Joburg Ballet Company that took to the stage for the Diacore VIP invitational. Diacore invited the Joburg Ballet company to showcase a total of three performances in Gaborone between the 22nd and 23rd of March 2015. The first of the performances by invite on the evening of the 22nd of March presented by Diacore, who are fully committed to the progress of sports and culture in Botswana.
On the 23rd Diacore held two separate performances at 14:00 and 19:00 respectively at Maitisong, which will was open to the public. Tickets were on sale at all Spar retailers in Gaborone as well as the River walk ticket office and at Maitisong offices.
The Ballet opened with a showcase by Botswana’s very own Riza Ballet School. With a chance to perform alongside some of the world’s best, the students relished the opportunity which will hopefully serve to catapult the young artists to new heights of achievement. The school’s owner Rita Lee was adamant that her young students are poised to give the international company a run for their money.
Already an avid supporter of sport development locally through the Diacore Gaborone Marathon, Diacore is keen to expand its contributions to arts and culture in a continuing bid to add further development to the country and providing even greater opportunities to Batswana. None of these initiatives would be possible without the support of Batswana and as such the company and its various stakeholders remain as always eternally grateful.
